Oak Framing has a long tradition within British history, dating back to at least the thirteenth century. Made, popular during the Tudor era with the iconic black and white facades we still see today, this is due in part, to the service we are able to provide.
Anthony Hicks has the experience and knowledge in conserving, restoring and repairing oak frames. We have dismantled, moved, and repaired many barns. Sometimes moving a timber frame structure is not possible due to its historical importance or simply due to logistical and economical limitations. In such cases, we have teams of skilled craftsmen available, who, with the support of our company can carryout extensive repair work onsite.
Proper structural repairs are critical to the longevity of any barn and must be completed with care. We have solutions for repairing all types of structural damage and ensure all repairs are structurally sound and meet local building codes.

“ I have used Anthony Hicks three times now on projects and I have recommended them to several friends who have also used their services. There are many people professing to build this type of structure and the magazines are littered with such adverts. However none of them in my opinion match the design and finish that Anthony Hicks can provide. I definitely think they use more timber and bigger sizes in the construction. The last building was almost entirely constructed without any metal fittings on the frame as it would have been hundreds of years ago . I am now looking for a site for a new build and I will be speaking to Anthony Hicks in the future” Mr & Mrs Andrews
