Tonbridge Mill

We were approached by a client who was looking for a specialist company to manufacture and erect the oak frame element for a new build oak house project.

The client was project managing the build himself, had already instructed an Architect to design the building and had all necessary trades in place.  Our company was perfectly positioned to work seamlessly alongside other business and offer our support and experience in timber framing where required.

As the oak frame would become the main feature our client wanted it to be hand made with substantial oak frame sections, incorporating natural curved braces and constructed using traditional jointing methods.  A quality finish and attention to detail unachievable by mechanically made ‘off the shelf’ products.

The final build was cleverly designed to fit perfectly on to a relatively tight plot and won a Design & Build Award from The Tonbridge Civic Society.
