We were contacted by a client who had recently purchased a listed barn on the verge of collapse. Works involved an extensive barn repair and barn conversion.
Working closely with the clients Architect, Colin Humphrey who had previously obtained planning approval, we were asked to provide a plan of repair together with a detailed quotation for the complete repair costs, featheredge weatherboard and insulation to form a warm roof. It was important to our client that a specific budget was met for the project and no unforeseen costs were incurred at a later date. This was achieved due to our experience on restoring oak frame buildings, coupled with a fixed quotation which fell within budget.
Works were completed within the desired timescale and on budget. The finished property provided a contemporary open plan living area, paying close attention to detail as is necessary to achieve a successful minimalist interior.
