Baldwins Farm

Our clients purchased a large plot of land with rolling landscape and far reaching views over the countryside.  They wanted a complex of newly built agriculturally styled buildings with equestrian facilities that would nestle perfectly in this beautiful setting.

We were instructed to design and manufacture the oak frame elements for the various new oak frame buildings.  Whilst its ultimate use would be a working facility, our clients wanted a high build quality throughout with every component traditionally hand made.

The complex centred around a ‘U’ shaped stable block which incorporated oak featured roofs with supporting oak posts and beams. At the entrance is an oak bridge with solid oak floor planks to span the moat and large heavy oak double doors.  A large double height three bay oak frame building was manufactured to house the huge machinery required to service the property with outshots to store logs and equipment.  A separate oak framed single storey annex was designed and manufactured for staff accommodation. An oak framed cartlodge to store riding equipment sits neatly alongside the sand school.

Our company supplied and fitted oak joinery throughout which included oak windows, doors, bespoke staircases and a truly unique clock tower. The high quality of this joinery enhanced and complimented the craftsmanship and attention to detail afforded from the beginning through to the very end of this amazing project.
